The filtration and dewatering function of the belt filter press
First impressions are important to people. Again, for products, the same applies. Through the first recognition, the grade of the product will have a subconscious evaluation. This is also one of the original intentions of our filter press equipment to further improve the quality and texture. Today, I will tell you about the belt filter press. The belt filter press is also a common solid-liquid separation equipment. Compared to plate and frame filter presses, it is suitable for continuous operation and is mainly used for the dewatering of flexible sludge. Our DNY stainless steel belt filter press mainly includes the following structure:
1. Concentration device
After the sludge of the wastewater treatment plant is pumped into the sludge mixing tank and mixed with the polymer coagulant, the fine suspended particles in the sludge are formed into larger particles in the rubber plume through the bridging action of the polymer coagulant, and then overflow into the concentration device of the belt filter from the upper end of the mixing tank by gravity flow, so that the concentration of the rubber plume sludge is further increased. At present, the concentration equipment mainly includes belt concentration and rotary drum concentration. Drum concentrate is the mainstream of the market due to its compact structure, low operating costs and easy maintenance.
2. Pressure dehydration area
After integrated concentration and dewatering, most of the free water outside the rubber feather sludge is discharged through the filter screen (or filter cloth) hole to improve the sludge concentration, so that the characteristics of the rubber feather sludge tend to be stable, which is conducive to the subsequent pressing and dewatering operation. Then, the sludge is evenly distributed on the filter cloth and enters the pressure dewatering zone. The upper and lower filter cloths began to gradually press and squeeze the sludge to dewater.
3. Press and dewatering area
The sludge moves with the filter cloth into the press dewatering area. There are multiple rollers arranged in an "S" shape, and the diameter of the rollers varies from large to small, which ensures that the pressure is gradually increased. With the strong pressing force of the upper and lower filter cloth on the sludge due to the change of the upper and lower positions of the filter cloth between different rollers, the capillary combined water in the rubber feather sludge is pressed out to produce a drier sludge cake.
